Rants from the Dugout
Read what Coach Donnie Graening has to say about the Thursday North Men's League in a section we like to call "Rants from the Dugout." Everything is fair game as he delivers a colorful tirade against the umpires, opposing teams, bad weather, field conditions and yes, even our own teammates on occasion. All of this with a wide variety of movie quotes thrown in there for your added amusement.
Who are this f##king guys?

After a week of walking around with a sh*t taste in our mouths from losing two, we finally took the field against the Town Hall Bar. The weather was right for a beat down. Hell, we actually even played with all of our original players. Oh, it was on!
In game one, we took it kind of easy on the lads by keeping them close. Snake was on top of his game with flashes of his old time flake. He owned hitters at the dish, and with the exception of a few miscues in the field, the game was never out of his control. At the plate we used timely hitting and rallies to put them down for the count.
Game two was a totally different story. Snake was still working it on the mound, but the rest of us put together a sound effort at the plate and in the field. When the dust settled, it was a thirteen run, six inning victory. We hit often and in a row to plate run after run.
With us in mid season, we are looking at quite a climb if we are going to make up some ground and make a run at 2nd place at the worst. We are a game behind O'Leary's and really need to win our final game against them. Screw that, we need to run the table from now until August. After dominating the league for two years straight, maybe the FM Softball Committee will pull their heads out of there asses and realize that BWW need to be moved up a couple of classes and play at there Rec level. Shittin Sandbaggers!
Our team is starting to come around. We are getting hitting from top to bottom, and defense is solid, aside from the occasional snowball fight. Come check out the only team in Fargo Softball to be sporting tuxedo print jerseys at NDSU on Thursday as we take two from The Texas Roadhouse. See you at the Yard, Meat!
